But did you know that if you buy books of first and second class stamps before 30th April you can use them indefinitely. So now is the time to stock up with books of stamps and remember, you can buy them at the post office in Weston Village Hall on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 1pm – 4pm.

Representatives of the Community Shop Group and Parish Council.
The necessary adaptations have been completed and equipment installed so all is now set for the opening of our new part-time post office in the village hall from Thursday 1st March. The new facility will be open from 1pm – 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We hope that villagers will support Postmaster Phil and use the service.
We continue to work with Weston with Gayton Parish Council and the Weston Village Hall Committee to develop plans and seek funding for an extension to the village hall to host a community shop and Post Office.
We are watching for developments regarding the sale of the existing Westons Stores and might not go ahead with our project if the existing business was sold as a going concern comprising a village shop and post office that would meet the needs of the local community. Instead we would propose working with the new owner to help them understand the needs of the community and encourage community support.
We note that the existing Weston Village Stores and the property is advertised for sale by auction through Bagshaws Uttoxeter to take place on 21st March 2012. You can download a brochure here.
We are happy to talk about our project to any potential buyer of the existing Weston Village Stores see the Contact page.
BT engineers today installed the telephone and broadband lines in the village hall ready for the opening of the part-time post office service planned to commence on 1st March 2012.
Post Office Limited has confirmed that the new part-time Post Office service will open in Weston Village Hall from 1st March 2012.
The new facility will be open on two afternoons a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays as a temporary measure pending the re-establishment of a full-time Post Office service in the village.
The new facility is the result of lobbying by the Community Shop Group and our Borough and County Councillors and is only possible because of the support of the Weston Village Hall Committee and Weston with Gayton Parish Council.
